- A Flow chart is graphical representation of an algorithm or part of an algorithm
- Flow charts are drawn using certain special purpose symbols such as rectangles, diamond and ovals
- These symbols are connected by arrows called flow lines.
- When drawing a flow chart that represents a full algorithm, the terminal symbol is used to represent the START and END of the program algorithm
- When drawing a flow chart that represent just a portion of the overall algorithm, the START and END symbols are replaced by the CONNECTOR symbol
